I actually just picked the Oppo DV971H up today, the quality at which it upscales is amazing! If you weren't looking to go for either Blu-Ray or HD-DVD, this would be the way to go. I honestly don't know why I bought it, seeing as how I own BOTH Blu-Ray and HD-DVD. So I'd rather have my money back! It's in like new condition, comes with the original box, remote, the upgraded remote, DVI-DVI cable, instruction manual, and it's already upgraded to the latest firmware version. If you haven't heard anything about Oppo's DVD players, they are the BEST DVD players period. Here's the link pitting it against Denon DVD players that cost up to $3500, and the Oppo is still rated higher. Not much more I can say about this, except if you own an HDTV that's native in 720p or 1080i, you owe it to yourself to get this player.

SPEAKER GALLERY HEREEEEEEEEE!!!!!!

I've got a Definitive Technologies BP8 BiPolar Floorstanding speakers, if you care about reference quality sound, this is it. No, Bose does not count for reference. The end caps are a little beat up and the tops of the speaker covers are ripped a little, happened in the shipping process, absolutely perfect sound though.
(You can get replacement covers and end caps from Definitive or any Magnolia HT/AV)

Also a PAIR of Definitive Technologies ProMonitor100 MkII's. One fell over and it split the fabric on the grill in the corner. Hardly even noticeable, other than that they're in as good condition as the ProCenter, just use them with the grills off and you'll never notice a thing.

ALL of these Speaker setups sound GREAT. I've got a lot of people that are amazed by how crazy I am to put such nice systems together in my little ass room. If you wanted to take a listen, just cruise over to your local Best Buy, they should have them on display.
