Sorry to say but your snorkel doesn't even look like carbon fiber. But still a great deal.
Muz's current snorkels are also painted Carbon Fiber - except you'd pay $350 shipped for them, if he wasn't currently sold out of them. That's why I thought saving $200 for a little wear was such a good deal, not to mention the bonus K&N Filter, a bonus upgraded OEM Airbox, and a bonus custom-cut air dam.

PS - I know you are new here so I'll cut you some slack, but it is best to have facts in hand before taking a crap on someone's post.

Sorry to say, but you are woefully wrong, newcomer - it is carbon fiber. As stated above, the previous owner PAINTED it black to match his car, you can clearly see the carbon fiber on the interior.

For the sake of accuracy... any time you see white in scratches or cracks it indicates that the material is not carbon fiber, usually it's fiberglass. In this case, Muz calls them fiberglass.

The S2000 factory air intake inlet sits directly above the radiator and is known to contribute to 'heat soak' on hot days when idling in traffic. The Air Intake Extension allows for the flow of cooler dense air into the airbox allowing the engine to operate under optimal conditions.

Here is the original thread where I bought this snorkel from (a few years back, took some doing to track it down) so you can trace it's history. It als has original pictures showing yellow spoon-like CF weave revealed during the painting process, so perhaps the white crack is in the fiberglass repair. Pretty much all I know about this item comes from this thread cause it was painted when I got it:

Anyhow, even if it was made of green cheese, it still does a fine job of supplying ram-effect air to the factory airbox with NO modification to your OEM hardware - so it is priced for performance, not glamour. And heck if you are a handy type then slap on some glass and paint and make it pretty again too! Or drop 10x$$$ on the mugen intake like me .

PS - This weekend I cleaned and Oiled the K&N filter that is included with the snorkel kit, so this setup is ready to go.
