AP1 (MY02)Transmission pic posted
Hey guys I'm selling my AP1 tranny that I swapped out for a AP2 tranny.
Condition: It has approximately a total of ~90k miles (89,110 to be exact)on it and is currently missing the end tail shaft. (It only comes with whatever is in the picture) If anyone could chime in it where the buyer could get a replacement, it would be greatly appreciated.
Driving Characteristics: To be completely honest, it shifted completely fine and never gave me any serious problems. (For example: Never got stuck in any gears). However for the 30 thousand miles that I've owned the car, I did grind in 2nd gear 4 times exactly, each occurence was followed up by quickly putting the gear in neutral each time (if that helps at all.. ). It is a known and common factor for MY02 transmissions to grind randomly in 2nd gear. Tracked once but even then never slammed any gears.
Location: Fullerton (O.C.)
Price: 200 firm.
Conditions of Sale: It should be clear from the price that I'm looking for a quick and simple sale. Will not ship, Item must be picked up, no dibs, will do first come first serve basis & Cash only.
Contact: The fastest way to contact me is through texting my phone 714-313-1245.

There is a hard way and an easy way to do it. I dont know the hard way but we did it the easy way which was just to swap out the companion flange/end tail shaft from the ap1 onto the ap2 tranny and thats it. No issues at all. There are alot of helpful threads on this topic [if the search is still down I dont blame you..]. Good luck with the swap if you decide to go through with it.
