Ali's FS Thread: Fully Parting out my S2000
#22
Just an FYI, I doubt this is possible. Unlike the plastic window that was attached to the top with a zipper, the glass window is sewn into the top and is unable to be reattached (at least from what I've seen in the OEM top that I have sitting in my garage). Maybe a professional shop that specializes in convertible tops may be able to do it, but it might be cheaper just to get a brand new top. If it is possible to reattach, please let me know because I will too have a glass window to sell
EDIT: Actually now that I think about it...if you were to cut out the glass window with enough fabric around the edges, I wonder if it would be possible to sew on zippers around the edges to attach it to an older top that had a plastic window. I guess someone would have to measure the dimensions of the plastic window from edge of zipper to edge of zipper and then compare these measurements to the biggest possible amount of fabric surrounding the glass window. I can measure the fabric surrounding the glass window, anyone up to measure the plastic window?

^^^ actually someone bought it locally. He needed a big patch and the glass too, so I gave him pretty much half the top. He said he knows how to put it so good luck to him .

And the most beloved thing I ever bought for my car. Honestly hurts to post these up for sale, but have no choice
Lowball me on anything but these since that would really piss me off
