Thanks for the post,I don't understand a lot of it but I realise that it does mean that you are working on resolving the issues arising from the changeover, this is what a lot of people needed, a little reassurance that work was underway to bring "our" forum back. Thank and more power to you elbow.

Oh, we spell realize, realise over here, your USA spellchecker doesn't like it.

Having been around System updates and software migrations to more sustainable platforms, it's reasonable to conclude that there will be hiccups in the switch. No amount of pretesting will fully eliminate them either (at least this has been my experience). As a guest here, I'm appreciative of the efforts given by others to maintain sites like these, which can be a thankless task. For that, I say thanks. I'm looking forward to the final product.

Sustainability is mandatory, and taking on the Caretaker role is a sure recipe for extinction.

Even at times there should be a very low server load, I still see extremely slow page loads. The problem won't be addressed by throwing more hardware at it, though I am amazed to see we have gotten by with a single quad core server for this long.

cthree....

I've given the site enough crap over the past 3 weeks......

Glad for the update..... this is what I have been looking for! Info on what the heck is going on....

None of us (including you!) have been happy with the performance.... glad to see more hardware being thrown at it to try and take care of that side.

Once the performance issue is taken care of..... heck.... thats all I want!

Keep us informed!
