Still dismally slow here and I'm on cable. I don't think the banners are the sole problem as it was still slow when they were turned off.

Actually the site has been performing poorly ever since the inception of this new software and consequently I find myself using it much less than I used to.

 

10.469 seconds to load this page again after clearing my cache with banners and signatures turned off.

26.5 seconds to load MyS2K after clearing my cache with banners and signatures turned off.

 

I spoke to cthree on IM just earlier about the speed. He knows what is causing it , and he's working to try and resolve it. At the bottom of each page, it does give the stats, and it is slow right now, the load is high:
