Default Site Facelift & Performance

First and foremost, I assume the site owner & administrators realize that since the facelift the site is unbelievably sloooooow. It's almost unusable with 30 sec to a minute for pages to load. Any news about cause or progress with a fix? Anything users should be doing? New Java update? Browser updates?

Next, a purely personal comment. Visually, the new site format is poor making it extremely hard to use. There's virtually no delineation between site elements on the screen. The old format made it easy to determine what you were looking at quickly and without eye strain. The new format has such subtle differences in shading and everything thrown together on the page that nothing stands out. It's hard to tell where one thing stops and another starts.

Rollback the format please. I see that another thread like this was locked so I don't hold much hope for this thread either but felt the need to point out the poor user experience to someone.

I feel the same way. I am tring to follow up on an event meet in April and it takes forever. I only want to see the posts that have new replies, not every post I have made since I started on the site. Pictures are impossible. The site is a hassle for now. If something does not change, I am off the site after the event in April. It takes too much time and nothing is organized.

I am complaining, it's so slow for me it's not worth bothering with anymore. Also, you can't tell which are new posts, I don't like looking over all the old/recycled posts and am more interested in the latest content. Now you can't tell if a post is new or if it has just been replied to and moved up.

Sorry, this upgrade has killed S2KI for me, I'm not patient enough to wait for pages to load.
