There was a message AE conveyed that may relate. Any one with symbols in their name eg @ would have problems logging in. Don't know if the same might apply for PMs?

Different JMP if login is ok then thats not it.
I reckon your PM Quota is up, you can have up to 100 messages as a guest. 5000 as a member 10,000 as Gold member IIRC

You can ask Hondagal to change your username, but she will usually only do it for members, or if someone has used their real name and want it changed. If it is the punctuation screwing it up then she'll prolly do it cos of that too.
