I could be wrong about it being related to response...just now I got it when I hit the little blue arrow to the left of the topic. But when I tried a different approach (going to the last page), no prob. It's happened at work and at home.

It happens periodically to me as well. Glad I'm not the only one with the problem. I'm also running IE 6 on Windows XP Professional SP1. It's odd that the site is getting the post, I'm just glad flood control is on, otherwise I'd have duplicate posts all over the site.
affirm. i've learned to now copy all my posts onto the clipboard, then send. if i get the error, i back up and refresh. if the message is there... i go on, otherwise, i repost.

90% of the time, the message goes through even though i get the error.

funny thing is, at least once for me, it seemed to mysteriously bypass flood control...
