A thread is nothing more than a list of posts, you are searching posts. You have always searched posts.

Not sure what exactly you want.

It seems the dates do not limit the search. And the display, while handy for some things does not show the last poster to a thread, so it is not great for following up on posts I made myself.. is there a better way than search? How often will the index be loaded?.. obviously it is not as realtime as in the past.

Hmm.. lemme check out the dates, they should work.

Search data will be updated every 12 hours. Possibly less later.

To get new posts you use the "Get New" in the start menu or to find posts by you real time you use the button.

The new search is meant for word/phrase searching.

Chris, the dates work. You have to uncheck the "all dates" check box. Sorta confusing tho. I'll look into making it more clear.

same here.

before, searching was somehting i looked forward to. i used to search about 15 times a day, and it was pretty fun...just wanting to learn random things about the S2000.

now, it just straight up blows. every single aspect of it. there is not one thing i like more about the new search that i did not like about the older one.

but please...dont think that i do not appreciate the hard work that all of the admins are putting into this. i respect every bit of that.

but the new search function is really bad.

i think someone should post a poll where people vote if they like the older one or new one better.

i honestly would not mind anohter 3 weeks or so of "search-down-time" if we get the older style back.

Sorry guys, the search is not up for discussion. I am making some changes to improve it for you guys but unless either of the 2 of you are willing to write me a new one, I only care to hear about bugs for right now.
