Sorry, didn't mean to imply that it should be a rule because I don't think it should be. I just think it would be nice as something people do, I would suggest simply leaving the latest asking price. I hope people aren't paying that much lower than asking price or else I've been doing something wrong for awhile.

Yeah I find that quite annoying as well. I always try and leave the price up after I sell something.
