Red face How can I stay safe when buying from a guest?

Hi,
I want to buy a set of wheels from someone who is a guest on this site. Ya, I know, I am also a guest, but I am the one with the money. How can I do this transaction and not get scammed?
Thanks,
Anthony

Good question. You can't really protect yourself. Try using a trusted third party. For example, have the wheels and the money shipped to a moderator and than have the mod. ship out once both are recieved. ( Than Ill pm the mod. my shipping address and have everything shipped to me) j/k.

A guest means nothing. Anyone can buy a membership.

Caveat Emptor applies, I'm afraid

That is a good idea revhi, but wouldn't that cost double for shipping? Since it has to be shipped twice.

So don't buy them if you are not sure of the guy. Or ask him if there is another user who has bought from him, then get a reference or 2
