Default Embedded Acrobat file?

I've noticed the following scenario multiple times over the past few days, and am wondering if its related to the upgrade. Here are the steps that are repeatable to see the issue:

I start up S2KI
I click on forums from the top nav bar
I scroll down, and click on DelVal
I read new posts
I click back twice (to get to the forum list) - to head over to Metro
Acrobat plugin starts during that process
No PDF doc is loaded however, just the startup/splash screen
Everything else appears normal

To answer the next question, I use IE.

AE -

I'm not alone anymore.

I have no plans on installing Firefox - that may fix my symptom, but not the problem.

Have you installed the full Acrobat suite? I'm using version 4 of the Acrobat suite. Freq- What version/product are you using?

I viewed what source was available to me from the page. I confirmed that none of the extensions were acrobat related, although I could have missed an obscure one used by some smaller component.

I'll reiterate - this started recently. I can't tie it specifically to the upgrade, but I never saw this issue before it.

There hasn't been an upgrade to the forum's software.

What version of IE are you using?
What OS?

I've tried this on IE 6.02900.2180
Windows XP
Acrobat 6.0 Professional

You guys running Norton firewall? https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=338148

There are no linked PDF files in the forums except perhaps in the Library forum where the TSBs are currently. The forums software hasn't changed in any significant way recently.

AE: I'm running the same version of IE, with XP SP2, Acrobat 4.

Cthree: I am running Norton Antivirus 2002, with no firewall components.

It is absolutely related (in my case) to the initial forum page. If I select Forums, and wait for the entire page to load, including the user list and country/flag section, I will see it. I usually select a forum before then, which is why my original note says it happens when I go back to that page.

I did some fall clean-up of my desktop PC and haven't had any issues since.
