E-mail notification not working for AOL members?

Well, where I am at, there is no broadband or cable modems much less DSL. The only other option is sat, and I'm not about to shell out $600 for the initial set-up and $80/mo. You know what I can do to my car with that?!?
As for why we still have AOL, we're familiar with it. I have tried other ISP's and they have issues worse then I have found with AOL. AOL is the only ISP I have had that hasnt crashed my computer....Now on my laptop, that's a diff story.

Actually when I change from AOHell, I just reformat my HD. I know it's hard to uninstall it. Besides, where I live, we dont have cable. Sat is a diferent story. Then again, I dont feel like shelling out $600 for the initial startup package for 1 computer and then $79/mo for internet.
I'm still waiting for DSL to be available. I was told it would be in 2k1.....wait, what year is it?
