Is it possible to delete a photo album? I was trying to clean up some stuff in MYS2K and I didn't see this option.

If not, could a member of admin do it for me?

It's not possible, either way.

 

delete all of the folders and rename it to EMPTY. When you find some more pics you would like to put in it rename it appropriately. Very strange that you can not delete and album though.

 

You can't delete them because it breaks links in the forums when you post 100 images and then decide to delete them all intentionally or by accident. The gallery used to allow you to delete an album and all the images but then we had a problem with someone doing it and breaking a bunch of threads so it was disabled and removed from the software.

I haven't got back to working on a more sensible alternative to what was there so it remains a missing feature more than a bug.

The entire site is being rewritten and redesigned. It's too far along to mess with the current software beyond keeping it alive until March sometime when the new site will launch.

Space is not an issue. We've got terabytes of free space that isn't even online. 8TB in total and the photos albums only consume about 500GB of that.

 

OMG, I meant to copy-and-paste the link into the other topic (which has now disappeared ... it was topic #668051 posted by Popeye entitled "Is there a way to delete entire albums ?")!
