Everything looks great up to hitting the "add photos now button, it tries for a while, then returns me to my-album sans new photos- with "done" at the bottom. help?

 

just a guess but I believe you are only allocated a certain amount of space as a guest. Maybe you used it up?

Looks like the policy is now that ONLY members can post in an album. It would have been nice if there was some indication of this when I tried to add photros to my existing album- ten times

 

Actually the issue is likely the size of the images. Whatever you send you must be able to upload in 3 minutes or less. For me, with my digicam and cable modem that means I can only upload 3 photos in one shot. Try one and if that works, try two then three.

Unfortunately the images are sent as one request which will either succeed or fail depending on how long it takes. The photo album code I wrote doesn't get the images until they have been uploaded completely. If it takes too long, it never does.

 

I should also comment that the maximum size of each image is 3MB. that's 15MB if you send all 5.

 

cthree- Thanks for your reply. I want to say that I'm blown away by the work you have done for this site. Still, there must be some kind of problem. I am a dial-up, but I was just trying to add a single, lo-res jpeg of 43 KB to my album. I tried many times without sucess. tonight, I tried again. Not only did it not work, but sombody else's image showed up in one of the frames of my album. I'll keep trying.

The "reasons to be a member" note in the forums implies, at least, that only members can post photos. Are you sure the policy hasn't changed? Doesn't matter, I'm becomming a member in any event- this site is just to good not to support it. Best Wishes- Otis

 

Just re-did the jpeg from the original and successfully got it into my album. the first one must have been a corrupted file. I'll delete this thread tomorrow. Thanks

 

I've been having problems accessing my photo album both to view it and to upload pics and also when I try to put a pic into a post. Lately, it seems to take an inordinate amount of time to just get the photo album to show and when it does show, it takes another long time to go to another page of it. It works but takes a lot longer than it used to.
