Abuse of mod powers to delete a post.
#1
That engineer guy deleted a long, well-written post of mine because he disagreed with it. Other mods saw the post and know there was nothing wrong with it.
He simply didn't like it because it showed what an ass he was to me in that thread.
If you allow your mods to abuse their powers like that this forum becomes that much less useful.
Perhaps you should take more care in who is given mod status.
If they're going to resort to deleting a post and then closing the thread to make it look like they're right, that's pathetic and underhanded.
Thanks.

I did not disagree with your post, I asked you twice to not use personal attacks against the other members of this site after you called one of them an invertibrate and you called me a dick. You then you proceeded in the deleted post to group two of us together as "scum".
After I deleted your offensive material, you decide to PM me and dictate that I never delete your posts. When I explain why it was deleted and make a sugestion that you request and not demand things, you call me an asshole.
Than you for posting your concern.

It was his post that I deleted because of his comments, not the thread. http://forums.s2ki.com/forums/showthread.p...10&pagenumber=3
I locked it after some nonsense bantering between the two of us and learning that the original poster with the question had already had it solved when they took delivery of the vehicle.

Disagree all you like, engineer; talk to me if you think I've done something wrong, but do not go around deleting posts you don't like to make yourself feel better about being a horrible person and then closing the thread. Especialy when the post wasn't some random flame or troll as you make it out to be, but a proper response that completely and utterly disarmed everything you said to me.
It addessed how you insist on incorrectly lumping me in with sales people, how you bait me with stupid comments, and answered several points you raised and something SJSHARKS said as well.
What you did is immature and an abuse of mod powers. Period.
The thread was already concluded with Andy P's comment and you just had to go and get the last word in and on top of that, go a step further and remove something you couldn't accept.
Nothing is ruder or more arrogant than silencing a valid post because it's something you can't handle. Learn to deal with disagreement and be a man about it instead of a wimp hiding behind the Delete button.
Thank you.

We can continue this here if you'd like, but as I've stated now several times here and in PMs to you, the only reason your post was deleted was because of your continued use of personal attacks. Calling someone an invertebrate, a dick and scum are not acceptable. You were asked to stop twice. The third time your post was deleted.

Did you require classes to understand tipping waiters and food delivery folk, or are you one of those invertibrates that doesn't tip anyone?

Hey now, let's not take this to personal attacks please.

Oh it's not personal; I dislike all cheap bastards equally.
And he apparently dislikes anyone trying to make a living selling him vehicles, so I think that makes us even... although at least my dislike isn't hurting anyone's pocketbook.

I just got done writing how we're selling them at MSRP and he has the nerve to post that, and on top of it he lives on the opposite side of the country. I'm sorry but that's just being a dick.

Fifth, you have been warned once to not attack people with your comments.

Nice irrelevant post. The fact still remains you deleted a post that was completely valid.
Also I like how you work subtle mis-truths into your argument. I never directly called him a dick in that quote as you can see; I said one would indeed be a dick to act the way he describes acting in response to a best-price, no-hassle/no-haggle price quote. That's a fact - you'd be a dick to do that. There's nothing wrong with it - you're free to be a dick, but I just wanted to him to be aware that is how he would be seen if he did that.
Also, since you ask, what is offensive about you is easy to see from your posts in that thread that respond to mine - an insistance on sidetracking the thread into stupid posts adamantly demanding I grovel for your business on a whim and give you some special deal on a vehicle that has no place on this forum. I patiently explained several times what I've also now said in THIS thread as well - that I am not on the sales floor and I also do not represent a dealership, yet you insist time and again on acting like I'm a sales person simply because I stick up for their right to make a decent living at their job and you insisted on side-tracking the thread and demanding people toss you offers on vehicles. That has to be one of the most ignorant and thick-headed things I've ever seen a mod post on any forum, let alone this one.
It goes hand-in-hand with your deleting my post that countered a lot of your points and probably shut you up nicely and therefore bothered you enough that you abused your power as a mod to delete it.
And as I said at the end of my last post which you deleted, your attitude and that of SJSHARKS go well together and deserve to experience dealerships filled with salespeople with attitudes similar to you two.
SJSHARK's constant inability to see things from any point of view other than his own is sad - especially when it comes to the people whose living I was defending in that thread who he thought so little of as to say what he did. It's funny how i have to repeat myself so often in that thread because you two can't comprehend what you read.
I'm not sure how many times I have to clarify that a fair price for a regular vehicle lies somewhere between invoice and MSRP, but that I can UNDERSTAND why a vehicle in high demand could sell for MSRP, yet SJSHARKS insisted on acting like I support price gouging and other things I clearly said I don't agree with.
I also appreciate your insistance on being prejudiced towards all salespeople and on top of that trying to excuse your prejudices by pointing at my posts as if I'm a salesman or in any way represent a dealership on these forums, and even if I was and did that it should somehow decide your opinion of all salespeople.
You're full of excuses and they all sound good until one actually finds out the rest of the story. Please don't delete this post too - again, it took a while to write. Although this time I'll be sure to copy/paste it to Notepad so I still have it for the memories. (That last sentence is sarcasm, which you're probably unfamiliar with.)
ps - I hope if you got anything worthwhile out of the thread it is something that not only I pointed out to you but another poster did as well: paying for a vehicle in all cash is not an incentive to a dealership to give you a better price on a vehicle, so if you are paying for it cash that's great but don't be surprised when that's not a bargaining chip at all and just your preferred method of payment. And definitely don't bring it up with the attitude you brought it up to me in that thread or the salesman/manager will laugh at you and say "okay... and?"
Perhaps consider coming into a thread with a little less attitude about a subject you are clearly not entirely familiar with (in this case Sales) and you won't come across the wrong way.
