Description:

Very lightly modified 2005 Rio Yellow Honda S2000. Just under 103k miles. Arguably the last model year of the best s2000. Cable throttle with the larger displacement 2.2 liter engine. The car drives beautifully and is ready to enjoy the last bit of fall! The car has seen extensive maintenance over the last year under my ownership. The car basically has the full catalog of Modifry's products who is now retiring and will soon be discontinued. These are small tidbits 'Upgraded' help bring creature comforts to the S2000.

Maintenance under my ownership:

-Engine oil and filter Sept 2024
-VP racing DOT4 racing brake fluid for clutch & brake lines Apr 2024
-New Honda OEM clutch & pressure plate with lightweight ACT flywheel with less than 4k miles Apr 2024 (Nothing wrong with old clutch, just did not like the harder clutch feel)
-Honda Type II Coolant flush July 2023
-Honda MTF for transmission July 2023
-Mobile 1 75w-90 diff fluid July 2023
-NGK Spark plugs Sept 2023
-New K&N FIPK intake system with reusable cone filter Sept 2023
-Valve adjustment at 100k miles to factory specs Sept 2023

Modifications:

Eibach Lowering springs
-K&N FIPK intake
-Berk HFC (Also have OEM catalytic converter)
-Koyorad full aluminum radiator (upgraded by PO)
-Coil packs have updated Denso stickers so they were replaced (from PO)
-Hawk street pads. More aggressive that OEM compounds with new c-tek rotors
-Replica OEM lip with OEM seal edging
-Science of Speed fixed front mount tow hook
-Left side radio controls work thanks to Modifry adapter
-Bluetooth capable radio with magnetic phone adapter/charger
-Modifry cup holder bracket and foldaway cup holder
-Modifry glove compartment organizer
-Floor mat set which includes footwell hump mats

The bad:

-Holes in trunk: The car previously had an APR GT250 wing on it.
-OEM AP2 factory spoiler, clear coat failure but paint is original.
-Front fender liners have some worn spots from when the was significantly lower than it is now
-Front left fender had some tire contact and it chipped a little bit of paint off.
-Paint on the mirrors have faded a bit when comparing to other body panels
-The OEM side strakes have significant rock chips and the rubber portion has slight separation
-Soft top has one small tear that was sewed and patched. It was stitched closed when I first bought and has not been an issue since
-Notorious starter screech in cold weather

Inquiring mind, myself, wants to know honest opinion. S2000 comparison to the Lotus (Elise/Exige) in the garage.

The s2000 is by far the better street/daily usable car. On track, the lotus feels like it could have some potentional (will know more this weekend after a track day with proper alignment) but is let down by the long gear ratios. The 2zz motor admittedly does have the edge over the F22 in terms or induction noise.
