Check your fuel lines!
Just got back from long weekend at the Nürburgring completing over 20 laps and decided to finally upgrade my FPR so fitted new radium rail and their FPR.
When I turned the ignition on to prime the lines I could smell trouble, looked under the car and fuel was gushing out the fuel line which I thought was just the adapter I fitted to go to -6 on feed line but no, it had cracked!
I've just removed all 3 fuel lines (2003 car) and they are rotten, crumbled in my hands almost, how they didn't let go when on track or at the ring I have no idea.
I found the rot worst where they go through the plastic clips and wasn't visible until I took the plastic tray down and popped them out of the clip.
Anyway no harm done, ordered new lines and plastic clips (most broke) for a grand total of £179

Some of my hard brake lines were like that but at the wheel end mostly. Less rot inboard
Scary shit

I developed a fuel leak in January of last year, took the plastic guard off and lo and behold rusted fuel pipe.
However, my leak developed just past the bend where the pipes start travelling up into the engine bay.
Upon inspection, the rest of my fuel lines were immaculate, so i cut the old bit of pipe out and used some new pipe and AN fittings to replace the leaky area. Not an issue since (touch wood)
