Default Ohlins DFV Road and Track

While I am working out my brake upgrades this year, next year I plan to focus on suspension. After an HPDE at Daytona I decided the Ohlins R&T kit was what I wanted.

I’m looking for some feedback on the remote adjusters. Pics help. Is it only remote for the rears? The fronts shouldn’t need it, unless it’s remote, in car. Which seems cool but again, maybe unnecessary.

ill take any feedback from anyone with the road and track kit.

Thanks

I want to order from Sake Bomb Garage. Their base price is $2,390, price in the pic includes aluminum forks and remote adjusters. I like SBG’s chassis tuning services they offer

Talked to this owner who has built and tracked this car over 7 years. His feedback was because he wasn’t into suspension tuning (more of a set it and forget it mindset) the cost for kits like KW, Penske, or Ohlins TTX (currently on the car in pic)wasn’t worth it.

Dont need them tbh i dont,i leave trim loose so pull it out,you prolly dont have boot trim anyway..
only one can be used if you have a spare wheel in the car,as spare wheel sits over top mount, doubt you have spare in for track use..

The remote adjusters are for the rear only.

They're useful if you dont want to remove the plastic trunk trim every time you change shock settings.

Typically, a track setting is not how you want to drive the car around on the street, and vise versa.

As far as feedback...they're phenomenally good shocks with very precise ride control. But they're a little harsh over cracked pavement. I doubt the harshness is anything you can't bare. Everyone, young and old who rides in my car compliments the way it rides.

The pass through forks are only useful if you want to lower the car more than about 1 to 1.5"

I got a DFV set with the remote adjusters, but couldn't get them installed quite right to feel the clicks. I also have a lot of my trim pieces removed in the trunk, so there wasn't a great place to mount the know. I ended up selling them on facebook.
With the trim pieces removed, the passenger side is easy to adjust. The drivers is much more difficult because of the fuel lines, but it is possible.
