Default Driveshaft spacers hitting exhaust system.

Like the title says, my car is on OHlins DFV and dropped about 1" only. I have some drive shaft spacers on them as well, and the inner part of my axle is nicking my InlinePro 3" exhaust piping when i turn right. I do notice that the InlinePro exhaust systems only come with 1 hanger, I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

At first i thought my brake dust shield was making the noise, but i looked under the back of the car and realized what was actually making that noise.

I'm thinking if i add a second exhaust hanger in the back it would prevent the exhaust system to move so much.

I'll try to get some pictures.

Single exit exhausts need a hanger at the diff to prevent this.

Does this exhaust come with that hanger and do you have it installed?

Are your halfshaft bolts installed in the correct orientation?

And why are you running spacers? Do you need them?

I have a dual exhaust.
It does have hangers but not sure if it has it on the proper points.
I think half shaft bolts have welded nut so it can only go in one direction
The spacers were placed because the car is lowered.

You do not need spacers for lowering the car at all. If you have vibration due to pitting of the cups, spacers are one solution but not just because you lowered the car.

Half shaft nuts are not welded on this car. If yours are you have some odd aftermarket axles or something.

I will double check orientation of the nuts and bolts later when I lift the car up. Will let the thread know of what I find.

This is correct, on both points.

OP - Lowering the car actually changes the wear path of the CV cup on its own, and in theory could actually solve a vibration issue if the car was run with high mileage at stock ride height and it was vibrating at that state. The spacers are not mandatory, just a cheat to get you more mileage out of the factory cups if they do start to vibrate, just like swapping them from side to side is another avenue to take. Employ them all as the issue surfaces to milk the highest mileage out of the axles. I recall getting about 225k out of an original set before I ran out of methods and had them replaced.

I lifted the car a while ago and saw that it was the bolt head on the axle contacting the exhaust flange. In the meantime as a counter measure, I installed a metal hose clamp on the exhaust pipe tied to the subframe to prevent further contact on both components while making sweeping right hand turns. It does produce some vibration due to the hose clamp not having any insulation while strapped on to the exhaust pipe and subframe.

i will take the car to a muffler shop next week to have the exhaust adjusted.
