Went over to Mohawk Honda this AM to see Rick about getting maintenance on the Civic. They had a Type R in there in black. They also sold a grey one yesterday and they have one in red coming in, that the owner intends to keep.
Rick, is doing the PDIs on the car and says they drive very well with a hint of turbo lag. As I was checking the car out, a sales associate that had approached me in the past about purchasing my Si, approached me again and asked if I was willing to trade in the Si now that the Type R was out. I told her, if they can get me one in Championship White at or under MSRP, I'd buy one from them right away. She said she'll make a note to that effect and let me know.
What an attention getter that car was. Everyone walking in seemed to look at it, stop and stare for a bit before moving on. Interior is nice and the seats are very well bolstered. Transmission seems very much in line with what we've seen from Honda. The rear seat is not a bench for 3, but rather its two seats separated by a console that has cupholders. The hatch opens up and reveals plenty of room. If you had to live with one car, this will get you anywhere you need. The seats fold flat, so getting a set of wheels and tools in there should be easy before heading to the track.
The premium they are asking for though is stratospheric IMO. But in a way I am happy that after the S2000, another Honda product is commanding a premium. The Si Mugen failed to do that as did the CR. But this seems to be commanding a premium and the dealers seem to be getting it.

Damn! Some kid on one of those smaller dual purpose bikes hit me and sped off.
Was driving home from dropping off someone at the airport. He is behind me at the light. I need to turn right into a shopping area past the intersection. As the light turns green, I signal hoping the idiot will notice. I slow down for the turn. His wheel hits the bumper and leaves a bruise as he brushes by and speeds off glancing back at me. I hurled abuses at him and yelled at him to stop. He just took off. I'm happy he didn't hit me hard and fall off but mad that he just took off. Jerk

Question for the tech gurus on here. The AC in my Si doesn't seem to be working. Is there a troubleshoot or fix I can do at home? Figured I'd ask here before I googled.
I usually never have it on. It seemed to take longer to cool the one or two times I turned it on this season. Yesterday was very humid and I turned it on and rolled up the windows only to broil inside the car.
