So, Honda can f*** right off.
I turned in my Accord one day before its lease maturation date, on May 9 (lease was up May 10). I have paperwork signed and dated by the dealer and I certifying that it was in good shape, mileage is correct and under limit and all parts are accounted for (keys, manual, etc). Hand over the keys and walk away, right?
NOPE.
Checked my credit score this morning and it was down 40 points over last month. Hmmm, wonder what that's about... go into the report and there's a fcuking $2,800 delinquent charge on there from Honda Financial Services. Call the dealer and they have no record of the car in their system. I say well motherfcukers, I have signed paperwork saying I turned it in so FIND IT. Turns out, there was some as-yet unidentified problem with the paperwork, where Honda's records had my VIN somehow attached to a different person's name (??? They sent me lease-end paperwork directly so it must have gotten 'adjusted' after that) and the car is still on their lot. So, Honda was expecting to receive it in a shipment but the dealer didn't know they should ship it. So Honda assumed that I was keeping it, so they extended my lease by 6 months (would have been nice if they'd have asked me, dont you think?), and then when I didn't pay the first two months of that period they fcuking dinged my credit for the whole amount (actually 7 months, just as an extra FU to me).
The dealer faxed me all the paperwork they completed with Honda and it's dated May 9. Nobody has ever seen or heard of anything like this before, and they don't know how to resolve it. I said, well you better figure it the fcuk out AND make some kind of miracle with my credit to nullify/void that charge because I'll be god damned if I'll let that stand.
I threatened to never buy a Honda again after Alonso's motor blew in the Indy 500... now that might actually be true. fcukers.
