Default Mother's Day

I hope all of you are remembering or celebrating with your mothers. This is the second one without mine. Still missing her.

My first year without Mom.

I have been meaning to cut some lilacs of my tree, but we've had nothing but rain. Mom LOVED lilacs. We had a tree in our tiny yard growing up and she was always thrilled with the lilacs came in. So I decided today was a good day to bring in some flowers, even if it was raining. The rain has beat the flowers up a bit, but the fragrance is still there. Mom approved.

The first year is the toughest. Your Mom was very pretty. My Mom passed in 2008, miss her.

Better late than never. Great seeing those pictures of "mom's". Here's one of mine with me in the corner.... we're on my uncle's porch. That's mom in the dark hair. In fact, her hair never turned gray, even in her 80's. I always told her that was because I never gave her any reason.

My Mother just turned 99 years old a few days before Mothers Day. I took her along with other relatives to Brunch, Here is a picture taken along side of the ice sculpture in the lobby.
