In my experience there is a difference between Declared Value and Insurance. Are you saying you could make a claim based on that declared value?

Ok, well what I don't understand is why if you have insurance, and the buyer has provided proof that the item is damaged, are you not making a claim?

ughhh i HATE 2 have my screen name in here, but i just shipped a rim from UPS & packaging only was like $35 + ..... i didnt buy materials to do it in an existing box r anything.......it looks like dude just bought some stuff and packed it himself. and insurance was purchased in anticipation of the buyer claiming the damage that was already done?

Fedex automatically puts a $100 declared value on anything you ship. He didnt buy any "insurance"

Insurance and declared value are two separate things
