Default Weird Noise !

ok so like 2 months ago i hit my passenger side rear against a curb... i know that my toe link on that side is slightly bent and i ordered the megan ones... ok so lately i have started to get this like rubbing/squeeling noise from the drivers side rear and i cant figure out what it is cause there is no after effects from rubbing ie.. tires worn... scratches... anything... it isnt my brakes cause the pads are pretty new... i cant take my wheel of cause where i moved i have no facilities !! can anyone lend me a hand in figuring this out as well as installing my toe links... i am willing to bring some beverages =)

i am just trying to get my ride back into the shape it was for 2009 !!

thanks and let me know !!

Maybe the wheel bearing is shot from the strain of a bent toe link??

It's either the axle nut needs to be tightened
or
The axle nut needs to be tightened and has been loose for too long and now your wheel bearing needs to be replaced.

Don't be like me and wait too long... I had to change the bearing, hub and knuckle. If you change it early, you just need to change the bearing and hub.

My axle nuts came loose before. The original manual says they should be torqued to 180 lb ft, but it was changed to 221 lb ft.

I can help you re-tighten if you can find the BIG socket for the axle nut.

But if you have to change the bearing and hub, I'd take it to JC service. They did great work on my car. I think I paid $700 but that was with the knuckle being changed out too... Should be a lot less without it. Give them a call.

Thanks for the comment! I wish the car was that clean right now! It's filthy after this last track day...

I have the correct socket if anyone needs to borrow it.

I've had such bad luck with the rear wheel bearings, axles & hub assembly.

Last year I had both rear wheel bearings and hub assemblies replaced... A few months later I needed a new axle so I replaced both with lifetime warranty kragen units....another .... then recently I had the same clicking, popping noise from my drivers side rear, which I stupidly ignored for MONTHS. One day it got soo LOUD, I thought it was my diff actually. Turned out the kragen axle had broke and gone unnoticed, causing me to replace another axle (oem this time ) and 1 rear wheel bearing & hub assembly...
