its a little less work by not pulling the frame out of the car but by pulling the frame out, it makes it a little easier to get the material towards the bottom portion of the frame.

ive done it both ways.. but the frame wont stretch the canvas regardless if the frame is on the car or not.. the frame is half open when you put the canvas on the frame.

I got mine installed by Arjay's Upholstery off of Convoy in Clairemont. It was $300 from what I remember and they did great work. I'm going to go there to get my top replaced again hopefully in the next week or so.
