Gavin from infinite motion seems to think it's a wheel bearing. I jacked up the 'bad' side and there's was little to no play when I manually tried to move the wheel on the hub.
Hope you figure it out before too much damage happens.

That isn't a good indicator that your hubs are "good" There wasn't any play in mine and I needed them replaced...to the extent that the hub was already ceased to the bearing and no grease in the bearing. just my 2 cents.
Hope you figure it out before too much damage happens.

I'm almost 100% sure now its the wheel bearing. It starts off as a 'marble in a can' sound, then it goes to thud....thud....thud....and then vibration. It has gotten progressively worse the past 3-4 days. I'll be taking it in in Monday and post up results.

i got a bad vibration when car accelerated above 30 mph. the whole car shook. it was the inner cv joint that was bad , the grease was no good. the bearing was rolling back and forth with no grease and actually created a tiny little crater creating the vibration .

Thanks to Gavin at Infinite Motion. It was in fact my wheel bearing and now my car runs silky smooth with no noise. I had to replace the hub as well.
