The resonator contains a specific volume of air and has a specific length that is calculated to produce a wave that cancels out a certain frequency of sound.
Spend about $20~30 to let muffler shop to cut the resonator out from you OEM cat-back exhaust, the exhaust sound become very similar to G35 coupe.
Open the hood, open the intake-air-box, look down above the air-box, the resonator inlet hold on your right (driver side) upper corner.

it's not in the air box, it's just inside the engine compartment under the driver side headlight. there's a hose coming from the main intake hose that runs to it.
i could take a pic, but it wouldnt help. it's too far down to really get a good view.
