By popular demand, we'll be making a run prior to Cory's BBQ on Saturday, August 12. If you haven't signed up for that yet, do it here.
It's going to be Palomar and Julian with a couple of twists. We'll start from the McDonalds as usual (here) at 2:00 p.m. Heading north toward Valley Center, we'll cut off past Lake Wohlford and bypass the busier route. After Palomar, we'll again cut off from 76 and take the back road through Mesa Grande to Santa Ysabel. Then up to Wynola and Julian.
We'll spend a little time in Julian for sightseeing and pie, although not so much as to spoil our appetite for dinner, then take Hwy 79 through Cuyamaca to I-8. From there head west to Alpine.
This should be fun. I hope our friends from Socal and IE will join us.
count my wife and i in, but i'll be driving ha. i'm not sure where the mcdonalds is in palomar i live in linda vista does anyone think the can meet me somewhere aroung san diego and i'll follow. i'd appreciate it thanks
Basically, you take 15 north, exit Via Ranch Pky, take a left at the light to cross the bridge. Mcdonalds is on your righthand side behind the gas station once you cross the bridge. See you there.
