I've done palomar before, but how are the roads once you head towards julian. Are they similar to palomar or more high speed stuff? Also, do you guys have an idea how long the run should last?

Heading out towards Julian is IDIOTIC!! The roads get wicked crazy and fun. Most of the courses EXCEPT for the public roads that link the mountain runs together are high speed sections. For the mountains, they are INSANELY tricky, narrow, and blind. BUT that's the fun of it all. From Highland Valley out to Julian then towards Palomar east grade then down west grade and finally out to Gopher Canyon. I believe it's about 110 miles of runs!

Hello Arnee!!!!

Long time, stranger.

I sure miss the mountain/canyon drives. All the raods I've taken out here are too darn straight. The roads go thru the valleys, and never seem to actually cut over to the hills. Good for top speed runs but not what I thrive on.

Thinking about taking the LGT up. Just waiting for the OK from my wife, who restricted me from cars this weekend (been working on cars for like 1.5 months straight!)

Love the LGT, bet you do too - easy to make faster than an STi... and no one will even know what hit 'em... sleeper

Who are you??????

I've been pretty busy with the business and am acquiring another house as we speak... lack of time is my enemy! Finally, though, summer is here and nice canyon runs are at hand.

yeah, it is easy to make it fast.

Right now mine should be as fast or slightly faster than a stock STi. Handles well too. The only downside to the LGT is the differentials. Open front diff and the rear one isn't as good as the STi unit.

Mods on mine are:
-GP Moto coilovers
-Whiteline front/Perrin rear swaybar
-Racing Brake BBK
-Perrin Equal-Lenght header
-STi OEM Up-pipe
-Perrin Downpipe
-Kartboy shifter bushings
-STi Short Shifter
-AccessPort ECU
-Custom Pro-Tune setup with STi TPS maps for better throttle response.
-Falken Azenis tires.
