Paint problem...
Hi all,
well today I decided to remove my S2000 emblems. Took me alot longer than i thought due to the adhesive being alot tougher than I expected. well...reason i'm posting is cuz my grandpa decided to try and help and a couple things ended up happening....
*He made some small scratches on my right fender while trying to pull the adhesive off with his long finger nails
*He thinned out a small area of paint around the 'S' when he tried to remove the adhesive using gasoline >.>
My question is...what's the best way to cover up and/or fix these eye sores? I know there's scratch remover stuff out there...but what about the paint thinned part? i'll post pics later...but the part around where the 'S' used to be is now a paler shade of blue than the rest of the car. It's not too noticeable...but i always notice it...and it looks like a smudge in the paint. It''s already driving me nuts.
Any suggestions?
Thanks all.

Meguires scratch x will take care of that scratch on the fender if its not too deep. If it looks like the clear coat of the car is the only thing damaged, then it should fix it. Takes a little elbow grease and a few applications, but it should do the trick. I dunno about the faded part though
I got some scratch-x, ill loan it to you if you need it

you might be out of luck with the paint thinned part. I don't know of anything that would bring it back besides a paint job.
for the scratches you can use scratch x but know that scratch x is a filler. You could detail the section with the scratch using a PC. use a quick detailer over it first, wipe off, use a yellow pc pad or a swirl/scratch remover pad and something like sonus sfx1 (cutting polish). after you run over it a few times and work it with the pc, wipe down and use a white pad or polishing pad and a polish restorer. wipe that down and then apply your glaze. wipe off the excess and apply your polish/sealant.
just becareful when using the pc that you don't let it sit in one spot and apply too much pressure. doing so could eat away a few layers of your paint. constantly move the pc and apply mild pressure.
