How is that possible?...... did you miss shift? or overrev? That's the only way it could happen.

Check out what GDPzS2000 is selling. This may help you out, GOOD LUCK  . SoCal For Sale Thread |
thanks mike..
car is at another mechanical for a last opinion.. hopefully its not that bad.. damn, ive never misshift ever.. maybe bounced off the rev-limited but thats it.. god i hope i dont have to do an engine rebuild. |
Call Group 5 and ask who they use. They did all of my b16 engine work and sent my head and block off somewhere in Miramar area. I got it back in my car and never had a worry again and a lot cheaper than honda or getting a new one. You just won't have your car for awhile. It will save you money though. They machined my head and block and my car never felt better. It turns out that the previous owner had over revved and ran the car when it was too hot burning up my pistons and causing my cylinders to misfire. He also ran my car on the lean side.
Good Luck  :hello: Patricia |
thanks patricia.. ill look into group 5 also..
gonna go pick up my car from the the shop, ill keep everyone posted. |

http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/auto/j...ANSMISSION+ASSY. Product No: 374097 (GENERAL ASSY., CYLINDER HEAD) $2404.70 l8, jeff |
okay heres the update
compression low in cylinder 2. about 75psi lower.. bent valves.. so im looking around 2500-3000 in parts and labor to fix.. labor is the killer part.. hopefully i can work some deals around town... hmm, might as well port & polish while im at it huh? |
If it is truly only in the head, and you want to build the head this is the perfect opportunity. You can find complete f20c's for around that or quite a bit cheaper (not including labor though :( ) Leakdown test should have confirmed if the problem was in the block or head (so obviously thats where they got their results from that it was the valves)

Sorry John about the valves. Its wierd how I called it on Alex car and yours, to add to it they are both yellow! Good luck and be safe man.
