Anybody on the new Cricket mobile in SD yet? Any pros or cons? Thinking about switching but wanted to know if its worth giving up Cingular. Thank you for your input in advanced.

I looked at it pretty closely as I pay a lot for my service, since I use my phone a lot for work and email
Downsides include- if you travel a lot outside of the 'home' area of SD, you will be charged a lot extra. It is really only for people who stay within this home area and call out to others within the same area, although nationwide long distance is included. You have to buy one of their phones, and at this time there are very few, and they are not new technologically advanced phones, such as the ones Cingular has now. I just traded my Treo from Verizon in for a Blackberry Pearl from Cingular, and Cricket has nothing like these. They have no devices for media type stuff. Only basic phones.
So if you are just a basic cell phone user who calls locally and texts and doesnt need any other features, and could care less about the phone itself, it is probably a great plan to switch to now while it is new and cheap. They are offering no activation fee and I think first month free when you buy the phone and new plan.
