You'll probably have to start in sales no matter what you do in life involving any kind of business. It's for the better.

I always see Skunk2 hiring though. Not sure if they need Engineers/R&Ders. Usually it's sales jobs.

Don't start in sales unless the company you will be working for has a plan in writing to grow out of that starter position.

Once you get a sales job on your resume you WILL be hardpressed to be considered by a prospective employer for any other type of work.

Not to mention you be hounded by commission only companies to work for them if the word sales shows up anywhere on your resume.

Trust me on this one.

It's not up to you.

If you don't take a job in your field and utilize your degree then after that starter sales job you will be looked at ONLY as a sales person.

Example of your future:

1-2 years later as a salesman you put in your resume' to a prospective employer for a Non sales job.

Employer looks at your resume and says "Why did this person go to school and take a job as a salesman?" Glance to the right at another resume with 6 months of related experience and trash your resume.

Any job in your related field will require relevant experience and you will be passed up over someone who does. When someone does take a chance on you, they still worn't hire you because they can't trust the interview as they feel you sold them into liking you.

Depressed you will give in and look for another sales job because every field you try won't pay you sales income as you will only be considered for intern work as even entry level jobs are not going to hire you over someone with experience.

Now you can never leave .....
