Default how is SD's s2000 theft

my previous hatch was fully stolen 3 times and only recovered twice....so this is a big issue for me

how bad is it with fixed up s2k's in sd....

i know that most people slash tops and take seats (trying to buy those seat locks if there still for sale)

one good thing about ^^^....its another reason to get a hardtop

a week after i bought mine i found my top slashed

it seemed like they slashed the top to try and open the door from the inside. but it was impossible with where honda placed the lock.

it broke my heart, but gave me the chance to upgrade my top to a real canvas top

hmm...what hatch did you have? And did u have a security system? I recently bought an EP3 hatch for a daily driver so i don't put miles on my s2k. It has a viper alarm system...but not sure how effective it is....

how do you learn how to steal cars after yours got stolen?

is that like...a revenge kinda thing..or more like "how did my crap get jacked?" kinda thing where you go and look for how they stole your car

my em1 got stolen. oh wells. but i didn't go and try to learn how to steal cars. doesn't do me any good or benefit me in anyway

of course that my opinion. to each his own

All Hondas below 2000 I think are pretty simple, especially for people with master keys. So they don't even need to break anything. I hear in Vegas they are just towing cars now.

Viper alarm will deter the kids that happen to walk by, but if someone wants your stuff, then it won't matter.

When I got my S, I bought a viper right away, but reading he boards I found out people were just slashing tops to get the seats.......... And driving to fashion will show you all the civics and accords with s2000 seats........

Autolock is good to keep them from actually taking the car, but like I said getting your top slash will suck.

i think the biggest thing is where u park...try to find a space that isnt' as accessible and/or hard to see. I know alot of us like to park away from others to avoid door dings...but taht's not always a good idea. I go to San Diego state...and i never parked my S in the structures. too dark...and easy to hide what u're doing..i'd always park in an outside area where there is alot of pedestrian traffic so my car is easily seen. In fact there's this one place that i usually park that's right next to where the parking police station is.
