Default Custom Made Side Splitters

Hey, just wanted to share what I built a few months ago. Made them out of 1/4in ABS plastic and mounted without drilling holes in the body. Only holes drilled were on the inner fender linings. Made brackets to go into the existing body holes to mount + used VHB 5952 and 4910 clear. Heres some pics and a link with all the pics while making them. Let me know what you guys think!

Pretty good

I just hope without screwing them under the body will not be a problem in the future.

I have Side Diffusers as well and once in a while I catch myself hitting them with my heel of my foot. My are pretty secure and pretty much nailed to my S. That would be my only concern with what you are doing. Those things flapping around on the hwy lol.

That was my biggest concern, them flying off/flapping around while driving on freeway haha. I have also caught them with my heel few times and haven't had any sounds or issues at high speeds. Surprisingly, the bond of the vhb is VERY strong as advertised. People have used them to install panels on buildings and trailers.

Sounds good then. Another concern is now can it be removed easily?

Though about that before installing, Removing will probably be a hassle to scrape off residue haha. But I don't plan on removing them.

Good job dude! How much did everything cost? How much time did it take to make and install?

Thanks man! The ABS sheets were pretty cheap, $19 from a place in national city. The VHB tape came close to $40. So with the hardware, everything came out to a little over $70.

Took almost a week to make / install. Getting the right shape on cardboard and transferring it to ABS was the most time consuming. After the shapes were made everything else went pretty smooth.
