COSTCO WEEKLY MEET.
#11
I spoke with one of the police guys there and he told me that they were informed about it through San Diego's drag net (which checks all these sites, btw) and that they had also received complaints of people speeding through that parking lot.
I told him that we were under the impression that we had permission to be there and that this was posted on the boards as a car gathering but an anti-street racing meeting, which encourages people to go to the track. When I pulled up and saw a police car there with his lights on, I thought it was a display and the police were there to represent safety (so on and so forth).
Of course, when I walked up, that wasn't the case but he suggested that if this is done again, another location or not, to make sure that we have permission to be there, stress that nobody do anything dumb in the parking lot or going in and out of the parking lot, and maybe even call the police ahead of time and invite them out in an effort to promote safety or something. Just an idea...

Awe man! I should've come out to this, looks like there were some nice cars there!
Thats too bad about the police presence at a car meet, glad you didn't get in too much trouble with them... haha ziptied the license plate. I'm bringing some doublesided tape with me if I come next week!
I'm definitely interested in going to this... so let us know where the location is moved to.
Was this in Carlsbad?
The cops there are terrible
