90k service maintenance
I noticed this morning I am about 88k on my 2000 BB. So i took into consideration trying to get a 90K service done when I get there. I researched here, google and Honda Ownerlink site. I have a good idea of what needs to get done.
I was also thinking replacing the timing belt and water pump while I was at it. I got this info from my research.
I am debating on a dealership maintenance vs certified honda mechanic to do this. What do you guys recommend to get this job done?
Also if you actually had this done. Ballpark, how much will all this cost me?
Only people that I can think of that is over 90K is Ron, Hockey, Eli and Vinny I believe. Any input would be greatly appreciate. Thanks

ballpark $800-$900
oil filter
oil
trans
diff
timing chain tensioner
serpentine belt
valve adjustment (most important)
coolant
upper radiator hose
lower radiator hose
all the water hose on the motor
water pump

From Honda... which i dont think is a bad deal at all... parts and labor!

No need to change the timing belt, since we have a chain.

Wow you learn something everyday. Didnt know that. No wonder nobody mentioned that on my search here.
It doesn't seem that bad. I recently replace the serpentine belt because it was crack on the edges.
Would spark plugs be replaced also?
Thanks Don

Is there any way to check if the 90k service was done other than asking for receipts? I'm about to buy an S and he claims to have had it done already but doesn't have the receipt for it...

I wish Honda had an actual maintenance schedule. when I went to Mission Vally honda to get a maint. sched, they said just do whatever the Maintenance Minder thing says to do >.>
...then he offered to give me a Civic maintenance schedule and tried to convince me that it was the same thing
