Joe,

There is an 2.2 w/ 9K RPM. There is ONLY 1 in North America and it's an experiment from AHM, There is a <03 s2000 w/ a 2.2 Tranny too. These are all for studies purposes.

But the boys are correct.

WAIT for the 06. That's my suggestion

Or put an 03 ECU in an 05. You can buy an 04 tranny from Hardtopguy prepped for an AP1 for about $1500.

Really API ECU on a AP2 motor?! Would that hurt the AP2's motor?! What does the AP2 tranny bolted to a AP1 motor due?! Hmm...I'm totally in the clouds on this one. Thanks chtree for chiming.

Kind regards,
Joe

No, it doesn't hurt the motor but it does raise the revlimiter to 9 grand. Power still peaks just before 8 but it will hold it through to 9K. You would need to also change the dash or add shift lights since the AP2 dash will be blinking away at 8K. It works, and it's fabulous (so I hear from those that have done it).

The AP2 tranny has carbon syncros and different gearing.

Oo0O00o So I see. The little tricks of the trade. Hmmm....that sounds like an idea, time to go look for a 04 05 Does the AP1 ECU plug right in to the AP2 ECU harness?! A AP2 tranny on an AP1 would that make the car pick up faster?! Give it better mid range? Higher top end?! Thanks again...

Kind regards,
Joe
