Default =( my s2k

Hey SD, last week I was heading over to clairemont on Kearny villa road and decided to punch it and feel the power of my awesome S. When all of a sudden by the time I got to clairemont I could hear a rattling noise from my internal/somewhat underneath the car. I only hear the sound whenever I hit 3000 rpm and up. There is no problem shifting, but when I'm on neutral I could still hear it when I rev up to 3000+. By the time I drove back home only 2 blocks away from my house my car just dies out of nowhere after taking the gear out to go neutral and i had to cruise it downhill back home. Now I can't even turn the car on! I doubt it's electric because everything still works on my car (dash, sound system, a/c, etc.). I only hear the clicking noise whenever I push the start button. =( Anyone have any idea what it could be/replace? Please help!!!!!

Was it a heavy knocking or light rattle? Did you check your oil before you decided to vtech it? Possible rod bearing issue

I wish it was just that. The only thing is, can that seize the motor from starting up? The car wont even try and turn over, all it makes is a clicking sound when pushing the start button.

Clicking noise when trying to start seems like a starter. But I don't know why it would just completely die on you while driving.

Hm? Pullies, Chain or belt tensioners will make some noise when they start to go bad.. As far as it going dead pull your alternator and have it checked for free at kragen or autozone. Check your fuses as well. Another quick test if you can jump your car is to disconnect the battery while running. If it dies it's related to the alt or a fuse inline somewhere. Good luck getting get back on the road.
