Alright! Sorry this post came a little late, but I was out of town all of this last week. Here is the important info up front:

Meet Point: San Diego State Parking Structure 6
Total Mileage: 63.7 Miles from start point
Total Drive Time: Approx. 1 Hour and 45 Minutes. This does not include the time we take for stops.

Preliminary Notes and Rules:

• It is pertinent that everyone shows up on time. The later we leave, the worse the sun will be for pictures.
• This drive is long. Please eat/drink before you come, or at least bring snacks with you. We won't be stoping for food til lunch.
• Everyone bring your cameras (phones don't count)! The purpose of this cruise is to get as many pics as we can at each stop point!
• Do not drive like an idiot. This is a cruise, not a race, not a canyon run. A group of bright colored ricers is already a big enough target for cops as it is. Let's not give them a reason to pull us over.
• I'll be contacting a few people ahead of time to be section leaders...this should alleviate things in the event our group gets split.
• This drive has a few dips/bumps/crappy roads...but nothing that a seasoned hella-flusher shouldn't be able to "angle"
• I'll have maps and directions printed out for everyone.

DRIVE ITINERARY

1. San Diego State Parking Structure 6
-This is our initial meet point. This is also the first place we will take pics. The structure has alot of room and is a nice spot to take "car posed pics". Please be here no later than 7:00AM as that's when we'll be taking the pics. I expect to roll out promptly @ 7:30AM.


2. Torrey Pines Park Rd.
-Jumping on the 5N for a little bit will take us up to this nice little area. Unfortunately the parking area is pay only, so we will just be driving through. We might pull over for a quick shoot if it's not crowded.
-A scenic route down Torrey Pines Rd then takes us to...


3. Mt. Soledad
-I'm sure most of you have been here or at least are familiar with it. We've had quite a few other S2KI meets here in the past. Nice place to take a walk and get a few pics overlooking the beach. Again, photo opportunities heavily depend on how many cars are already there, if any.
-We will cut through Pacific Beach to arrive at...


4. Crown Point
-I figured it'd be nice to try to get here this time since we missed out during the basketball meet. I double-checked this time and there shouldn't be any events being held on the day we'll be there We'll snap a few pics here.
-Heading South on the 8E/5S will take us across the Coronado bridge and towards...


5. Silver Strand
-We will cut through Coronado Island to get here. Depending on the time we are making, we MIGHT stop at a park at the bottom of the bridge for a rest/pee break/pics.
-Taking it all the way down to Palm Avenue and back around to the 5N points us in the direction of...


6. Pepper Park
-This is a little Harbor in National City (I didn't even know Nat'l city had a harbor until recently lol). I've been able to get some interesting shots here. If the lot is empty for the most part, we should get some nice group shots.
-We will head out from here and hit up food VERY close by at...


7. Goody's Sushi Bar & Grill
-Lunch! Arguably the best sushi I've had in San Diego. The owner/sushi chef here is amazing and you won't be disappointed. If Sushi doesn't play well with your palette, he has lots of other things to choose from. If you're just not feeling Asian/Seafood, In 'n Out is right next door for you party poopers ;P


This last stop would conclude the drive. I'm open to anything people spontaneously want to do afterwards though. There are a few Boba places near by that might make a nice stop...especially if it's a hot that day.
