So the clay bar is to never be used but once? wouldnt it be pointless to use it on top of the zaino since that would just be removing the zaino layers and not anthing else? I understand about reapplying the z1 on top of everything but when is the clay bar procedure redone?

Claybar does not remove Zaino. I clay everytime I do Z1, but once a year is fine.

If you do put Z1 on after 10 coats, do you follow the original directions and apply Z2 or Z5 right over it without buffing off the Z1 beforehand?

Yes! Let haze, do not remove, and then apply Z2 or Z5.

He is not talking about Zaino when he says that it is removed. You can call and ask him personally if you would like. You would have to clay the car like crazy to remove Zaino this way. Give him a call and see for yourself. Or better yet, clay it after Zainoing and see if it still beads.
