Default Zaino Z-18 claybar?

I can find great stuff through searching on cleaning products and such, but technique has alot to do with that "show-room" look.

What's the best techinque for using the claybar? The Zainobros website doesn't give much information either...

detailer's clay has to be used with plenty of lubricant or it leaves smeared swirls on your car. The lubricant has to be specific though. Some soaps can degrade the clay. I have not tried the natural stuff, only the synthetic clays.

Wash the car first. I do it when the car is still wet.

squish the clay into a small pancake about the size of a drink coaster. spray some lubricant with a spraybottle and rub the clay pancake like you were applying wax with a applicator sponge. If you got lotso fallout, you'll be able to feel when the surface is clean.

IF YOU DROP THEY CLAY ON THE GROUND - THROW IT AWAY! small rocks and dirt picked up on the clay can scratch your paint.

I do it by body panel, then I dry the body panel. Make sure you put a coat of wax on the car afterwards.

good luck

Thanks for the feedback!
Somewhere I heard/read that you when the clay gets "dirty" you "stretch" another secton out. They must mean to stretch out the bar then fold it over the remaining bar...? What do you think?
