Just finished the Zaino process, and boy does the car look awesome. Can't wait to get a few more coat on to deepen the shine, but it already looks awesome. The process is time consuming, however, worth every bit of the time for the shine.

Hey Pas,let me ask you...was that the first time you used it?...and if it was what numbers of Zaino did you buy.I may try it but I'm confused as to what I really need....how long did it take?

Yes, this was the first time that I used it. Here is what I did, and don't know if it is right but I'm very pleased with the result. You now need these to look at the car

1) washed the car with Dawn dish soap to remove old wax.
2) I used Z-18 claybar and used Z-7 car wash as a lubricant for the claybar.
3) I used Z-1 with a cotton applicator.
4) I used Z-2 with ZFX with a cotton applicator.
5) I used a 100% cotton bath towel made in the USA (Fieldcrest) to remove the polish. Edges cut off of towels.
6) I used a second coat of Z-2 with ZFX with a cotton applicator.
7) I removed polish with cotton bath towel.

I'm not sure if you need to use Z-1 if you are going to use ZFX. I did and it worked. That's the part I'm not sure of.

It took me about 4 hours over a two day period. Hope this helps!

The time consuming part is using Clay Bar. It makes no difference what product you're going to put on the car, the end result will be affected by the surface preparation you do in the beginning. Clay Bar will always get the surface absolutely clean!

You did not need to use Z-1 since you have ZFX. ZFX enabled polish, either Z-2 or Z-5, allows you to apply up to 3 coats/day. You should be able to get 3 coats on an S2K with 1/2 to 3/4 of an ounce of polish. Be sure to use Z-6 in between each coat.

Best way to clean the mixing bottles is to use isopropyl alcohol...cleans them up quick and easy. Be sure to remove all polish residue from the bottles.

The appearance of your car will only get better as you apply additional coats of polish!

I just did my car yesterday and it took 5 hours in prep time: the Dawn wash, claying, and Z-7 rewash. Right now I have one coat of Z- 5 on (it already look's great!) and plan to put another one on today. I cannot believe how much stuff the claybar picked up and the finish is as smooth as glass now.

dont forget to cut all the edges off your fieldcrest towels!!

yeah they will look like crap but at least you wont have to worry about scratches

you are just left with washing, drying and applying more layers of top polish as you feel the urge . . . and Z6'ing when you can . . .

down to 2 hours tops to outshine the neighbours . . .
