Zaino real-life stress test
I think I mentioned in a post last autumn that I'd report how well Zaino holds up through the Minnesota winter. My most recent coats of Zaino went on in September.
While the weather was above 45 or so, I did my washes at home with Zaino wash, dried, and applied Z6. I don't remember when the last such wash occurred. I do know that somewhere in the 40s, Z6 becomes difficult to use. It just doesn't come off like it should, sort of streaks, etc.
Through the brunt of winter, I use the local self-serve manual car wash. I try to wash weekly, but sometimes go longer especially when the roads are bad. I like the car to look nice for more than a few minutes. Meanwhile, it's grime and salt. But, hey, I still grin when I'm driving!
In January, I began noticing that the sides of the car were beginning to look like the Zaino was disappearing. I washed the car this week, and I can pretty well confirm that. The hood and trunk still show signs of beading, but the sides seem to be unprotected now. This makes some sense, since the sides of the car accumulate the most road junk and take the most work to clean.
So, this translates to something like 4 to 5 months of protection in pretty harsh conditions. I'd say that's not too bad. Anyway, that's my report. Now - come on spring!!!

I have a set of Blizzaks (MZ-01). They work great, but sure feel different than the S02s!
So - have you had any snow there? We've probably still not had more than a foot total. Maybe not even 6-8 inches...
