Asin:

Did I read your post correctly? Did you just do a coat of ZFX and nothing elce? Meaning that you did not combine the ZFX and Z-2 togeather.

blackonredS2k,

No.
The ZFX is just a small vial of blue liquid.
When I said I applied "ZFX", I meant that the "ZFX" was a mixed of Z2 and a few drops of blue ZFX.

That is how I order mine. Should have known you were trying to order some. I had a huge order come in this week. They are pretty good at shipping it out fast.

Just got 2 coats of Z2 and 1 coat of Z5 in this week.

As I understand it, if you have the ZFX, you should always use it with the Z2 for every coat (Am I wrong?).

As an aside: Z1 is a great tar remover. It also removes shoe scuffs where you drag your feet across the rocker panel. PLUS - you've seen the ad for that "scratch remover", right? Try Z1 on the superficial "scratches". You'd be amazed at what it can do. You know with bug and tar remover, that will remove all your polish. With Z1, it's gotta be good for the polish.

ZFX is only needed if you want/need fast curing of the Z2/5 (except for the first coat, which must be either ZFX-enabled or Z1).

At least this is how I understand it.

ZFX is an accelerant that reduces drying time and allows you to apply up to 3 coats of polish/day. It is mixed with the polish at a ratio of 4 drops per ounce. Z-2 & Z-5 can be applied by themselves after the initial application process. Properly applied, i.e. VERY THIN, drying time should not be much of an issue...see the dryness test info at www.zainobros.com.

If you are looking for a source for Zaino, email Sal and ask about your area. Most distributors will accept credit cards.
