Default Zaino n00b question

Okay so out of all the various threads on Zaino application process, I am yet to find an answer to my dilemma. I purchased my S about a month an a half ago and this will be my first detail/wax job ever. My Zaino package came in a couple days ago and i'm just trying to find as much info as possible before beginning.

Things that came with my kit:

Z2
Z5
Z6
Z7
the clay bar & ZFX kit
applicator pads & towels

Now from what i've read so far and the intructions, it's says to mix Z2 OR Z5 with 3-4 drops of ZFX. I have light swirls and tiny scratches which the Z5 is for. My question is in what step do I apply the Z5?

According to the instructions you mix Z2 and ZFX apply a thin layer let it haze and wipe, then spray a bit of Z6 and wipe off and just repeat until you're satisfied. It doesn't say if I can use both Z5 and Z2, and if I can, once again at what step do I apply the Z5? The directions keeps saying either/or.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I don't want to mess up the process of getting a good shine/detail.

Generally to get most swirls out, you'll need to buff the car. Z5 is made for light swirls but generally it wont take them out. You can layer z5 over z2 and vice versa. It doesn't matter what order. Howi ever I'd put the z5 on first, then layer the z2 over it. Its more for high gloss applications. Hope this helps.

Make sure if you buff, to clay it first.

hmm, okay... so if I go ahead and use Z2 mixed with ZFX, when I go to apply Z5 will I have to mix it with ZFX in a different bottle, or just apply it straight on the applicator? If im correct ZFX is just an enhancer to help speed up the drying process so I would think i'll have to mix Z5 with ZFX.

lastly how long should I wait after applying Z2/ZFX to apply Z5?

z5 is a swirl filler... you can even use it instead of z2 if you wish. if you have very light swirls, it will be o.k. until it wears off. when the swirls bother you enough, you want to use a true swirl remover.

the z5 should be mixed in a new clean bottle- i have not experimented with mixing it with z2 and zfx- it might work, but its made to be mixed "clean".

with zfx, there is no real cure time- it is a "flash cure" type product.
more zfx info is at":

For future reference, after the one coat of wax cures, you do NOT have to use ZFX anymore. Save it. It's expensive.

I do a swirl removal on my car once a year. The results last a lot longer than when you fill them. If you're really into filling instead of removing then you might want to top your Zaino with a carnauba wax as waxes often do a better job at filling than sealants.

Just a quick update: After I got done putting 5 coats (2 coats of Z2 and 3 coats of Z5/with Z6 in between each coat) I noticed that some of the 'flaws' of the car tend to stand out more. For example I Noticed more scratches and chips that I couldn't before. I have a nice shine to it, but some of the 'tiny' scratches are still noticable. Should I add more coats of Z5 or what can I do to hide/remove those light scratches?

Also I noticed two tiny specs of rusted paint. I mean they are real tiny dots, only noticable if face to face with the paint. I wonder what could have caused this.

I'll try to take pics of so called scratches/rust.
