Default Your thoughts and my questions about P21s kit

I just ordered the P21s car care kit and noticed on the summary page it mentioned:

"This is a pure wax so a polish or pre-wax cleaner should be used prior to first time application. This wax can also be layered to increase the depth of shine. I have never found any evidence of yellowing or discoloration. You should plan on waxing your car four times a year with this wax for maximum protection.

Because this wax requires a polish prior to application and has the limited durability of all carnauba waxes, it qualifies as an "enthusiast" wax. If you're willing to take the extra time to polish your car first and then wax four times a year, P21S Carnauba Wax will reward you with a shine that would be the envy of most show cars."

so does that mean i have to polsih my car everytime I want to wax my car using P21s carnuba wax? Or just the first time as it mentioned. Chances are i'll be using the P21s gloss-enhancing paintwork cleaner as my polish (since its part of the kit). Thanks.

I use P21S wax regualrly (say once a month) I will polish the car every 6 months never had a problem with yellowing etc, etc.

So I say just a wash first is all that is required

i recall that your car is pretty new-
the most you should have to do, imo, is maybe clay it (if it needs it).

you should not need to polish it yet, even for p21s.
and you only need to polish when the car needs it (either when the swirls bother you or the shine seems dull).
that said, the paintwork cleaner you have would not be a bad idea- it is such a light polish that i dont think it even removes swirls (swirl removers are generally considered the lightest polish) but would make sure your surface is really clean...

should have checked this first- but here is p21s's thoughts on the cleaner:
