Default Would this layering work well?

So I was wondering how this sort of layering would workout to look;

Start with wash and what not; the usual dawn soap ect ect.

Z5 - Z6 - Z5 - Z6

then

P21s - Z6 - Z2 - Z6

Would the P21s add extra/better look or would it simply be overkill and a waste? Or would something go wrong in layering P21s with Zaino products in such a fashion? Or is P21s only worthwhile when it's the final top layer? I'm willing to test if no one has done this before, but if someone has I'd like to know how it worked out; or if anyone has any theories.

IMO the layer of z6-z2-z6 over the P21s is the waste. Stop at the P21S layer. The P21S will give you the best shine; always make this your last coat!

He's right. You can't layer Zaino over any type of Carnuba. To reapply Zaino you'll need to wash with dawn and strip the wax off.

i know that many think that you cant zaino over carnuba, but i do it all the time...
but i do agree that the carnuba should be the last step of the app process.
i apply p21s over my zaino as a last step and then also often apply only p21s in "quick details" of my car...
but i do not remove the p21s the next time i zaino the car-
lots of folks disagree with the sandwich method, but it works great for me- as anyone who has seen my car knows.

What is going to happen in a year or two as the "trapped" wax turns yellow (all natural waxes yellow and cloudy over time)? Do you use isopropyl alcohol and strip all the Zaino off and start over?

good question...
all cars should be polished at some point-
mine usually every couple of years or so (most cars should be polished more often, but mine is covered most of its life!). polish removes all zaino and wax, so my guess is that this is what prevents the yellowing.
also, carnuba does fade much more quickly than zaino.

I, likewanbe, use p21s as a quick detailer so I Always put a quick top coat of p21s after a wash. Sometimes I only do the hood, top and trunk. P21S is so easy it is almost as quick as aquick detailer but undoubtedly a better shine.

Carnuba doesn't really last that long. Therefore, if you are really don't want to sandwhich just wait about 4 weeks after your last p21s application and re zaino.

I solved the problem by no longer using zaino. I use Klasse all-in-one which will remove the old carnuba and lay down a nice acrylic finish. At most I'll do two coats of Klasse followed by P21S.

I have a black Accord and a Suzaka Blue S and I can't quit frankly tell the difference between a Zaino/P21s finish and aKlasse/P21S finish. Here in humid New Orleans Klasse cures much quicker than zaino and I get my cars detailed much quicker.

Lastly, If you baby / detail your car as much as most people in this forum do(including me), you'll be waxing it more often than once every 6 months. I didn't care if Zaino lasted 6+ months, I was detailing typically every month or once every two months at worst. Given this and given that P21s is the best shine, I figured why am I wasting my time with multiple layers of Zaino? So I switched and very happy. The Klasse provides a good acrylic base wax and the P21S the great shine!

The p21s fading is why I was thinking, get the shine then put a protecting layer ontop of it. In the hopes that I could keep the p21s protected and better looking, but from the comments on it becoming yellow I get it.

So then should I do, z5-z6-z5-z6-z2-z6-p21s?

I stll have to try this layering deal. I've got about 10 coats of Zaino z2 and z5 on my S and it's beautiful now!
